On December 19th, 84 Chelsea Ballet Schools pupils, having been selected by audition, took part and danced Nutcracker on stage at the London Coliseum with Principals and Artists of English National Ballet Company and a full orchestra.
All the children were absolute superstars, committing to attend every rehearsal for 4 months and learning how to work as a professional dancer – arriving focused and ready to retain their choreography and work on their technique, but also their characterisation, acting and performance. It was hard work, but fun too!
The Gala performance was a huge success, raising over £265,000 for English National Ballet. We are so proud of the girls who were a credit to both their families and Chelsea Ballet Schools.
